We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work with the people we support at Lodge Lane House in Bewsey.
If you are a caring person, have good communication skills, are willing to get involved in a variety of activities and feel able to assist individuals who have mental health issues we would love to hear from you!
We have the following roles available:
Session / Activity Volunteer - This volunteering role would include helping to assist during activity sessions in areas such as arts and crafts and creative reading/writing and sharing skills and hobbies with the people we support.
Volunteer Befriender - As a volunteer befriender, you will chat and swap stories, discover similar interests and hobbies; learn and listen to one another and build new friendships.
As a not for profit charity, funded by limited public money, we are always keen to get the extra help that volunteers can offer, but it isn't a one way transaction. A sense of making a positive contribution, learning new skills, gaining experience for future work or seeing if a career in social care is one that suits them - these are just a few of the rewards that volunteers get in return.
