New Contract: Working with Children and Young People

New Contract: Working with Children and Young People

We went through a competitive tender to win the opportunity to work with Children and Young People in Warrington. We are now providing Short Breaks for children with support needs in Warrington.

The strength in what we offered was in the personalisation. Meet Ronnie he is a fictional charter that we created to demonstrate the tools we use to ensure the support we offer is personal and meets the need, wants a dreams of the people we support.

This is a one page profile all the people we support have their own and it is an example of how we begin to get to know the people we support. We take care to identify what is important to a person and what their strengths are. We are now busy creating these profiles for the Children and Young People we are supporting.

EXCITING times ahead!!

We are very excited about this opportunity because it means we can support anyone who has support needs regardless of age. Colleagues at Warrington Community Living are very motivated we have a number of existing colleagues who have experience working with children and are looking forward to being involved. We have also recruited a number of new colleagues who have proven experience of working with disabled children.

We look forward to telling you more news and of course some success stories as we begin the support
