COVID-19 Revised Visiting Guidance from our Head of Care

Firstly, all the team at Warrington Community Living hope you are safe and well at this difficult time.

In light of the most recent COVID-19 government update, the guidance in Warrington has now been updated and contact visits will cease immediately.

The new visiting guidance states, indoor close contact visits can no longer take place in Tier 4 areas or during lockdown periods. Contact visits will be applicable to Tier 1, 2 and 3 areas however; common to all areas visits can continue outdoors utilising visiting pods with screens or window visits.

As before, each person we support will have an individual Risk Assessment for visiting, prior to your visit you will be asked to complete a form, including a temperature check and a declaration that you have no symptoms. A blanket approach will not be applied; this is to ensure the safety of the people in our care.

The team providing support to you/your loved one will contact you to discuss the Individual Risk Assessment and agree your visiting arrangements for the coming weeks.

It is important to note that if the home has any further outbreaks, we will impose visiting restrictions and the home will be closed until deemed safe to re-open by the infection Control teams.

Each of our services have access to video calls and phone calls, alternatively letters and pictures can be sent to keep in touch with your loved ones.

We thank you for your support during this very difficult time and understand the distress these restrictions may cause however; we must continue to be cautious to protect the people we support.

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe.
