Support Services for Children and Young People
Domiciliary/Supported Living Network (also know locally as Community Network), Central Office, 01925 246870, firstname.lastname@example.org
As part of the Domiciliary/Supported Living Network (also know locally as Community Network) we provide short breaks for Children and Young People with varying needs and varying abilities. All packages of support are based on person centred planning, which means they are tailored to the bespoke needs of the person we are supporting. The short breaks service has a primary purpose of providing families a break from their caring responsibilities in order to support them to continue to care effectively. The person centred approach enables us to work with the child/young person and their family to achieve positive outcomes for the children and young people we support.
We deliver a wide range of support, including where required, intimate and personal care, supporting behaviour that can be challenging, developing independence and confidence, attending social activity and supporting positive relationships and total communication. People who we support can be confident that we will respect their individuality, understand their current support needs, but also very importantly focus on their development.
The outcomes for the children and young people are that they
- Enjoy their short break, have fun and make friends
- Develop skills and enjoy new experiences
- They feel safe and secure and enjoy dignity and respect
It is of upmost importance to us that we are providing a quality service so that families have the confidence in the support their child is receiving to enable them to enjoy their break from caring responsibilities knowing that their child is safe, well cared for and happy.
