Service: Supported Living and Outreach 

Location: Various locations across Warrington

Hours of Work: Part Time/Full Time Available

You will be required to work shift patterns that include evening, nights/sleeps and weekends on a rota basis

Rate of Pay: £8.21 rising to £8.39 after probation with future rises to £8.55 + depending on experience, qualifications and delivery of the organisational values

Experience/Qualifications Needed: You must hold a full clean driving license and be able to use your car for business purposes.

Service Brief:

We are looking for enthusiastic colleagues to join our team in delivering support to individuals with learning disabilities across Warrington. This exciting new opportunity has arisen due to us successfully tendering for the work; we did this because as a local charity we seek opportunities to make a positive difference. This service will promote independence, enablement and inclusion. You will be supporting people who may be living in individual or shared supported tenancies or with parents or family carers.

You will be working with our team of experienced support workers who provide high quality, effective and safe services that support people to lead their own lives in the community. Warrington Community Living has a strong emphasis on person centred approaches that deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals in line with the personalisation agenda. We want new colleagues who can demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with the people we support, their families, carers and a range of professionals.

The people you will be supporting will have a moderate, severe or profound learning disability and some may have additional conditions such as autism/Asperger’s, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, dementia or profound and multiple learning disabilities but most of all they will have individual personalities, life histories, skills, interests and hobbies. It will be your role is to get to know the person and support them to live a fulfilling and active life in a way they want.

You may be working in a group setting or delivering outreach we will work with your set of skills and preferences to offer you the position that best fits.
