Job Role: Support Worker
Service: Community Network
Hours: 16 hours per week which is around 1 shift per week plus 1 sleep in shift, you must be able to work flexibly. Shifts will include early, late and weekend shifts on a rota basis.
WCL are looking for colleagues to join a team for a very special individual with learning disabilities who has recently moved into her own bungalow in the Padgate area of Warrington. The person you are supporting requires one to one support 24 hours a day.
You will be helping her to look after her own home support her to enjoy an active social life.
To fit round her needs, we are offering part-time hours which would include sleep-in’s. This would be on a competitive pay and benefits, you may have paid or unpaid experience of working with younger or older people with a disability which would be useful, but most importantly you will want to make a difference in someone’s life.
Full training is available, but we cannot teach you our values - you will already have those.
Rate of pay: £8.72

Warrington Community Living is a not-for-profit organisation with various locations in the Warrington area providing support for our Residents to be active citizens. We have recently developed, meaning we have a number of vacancies for Care/Support Workers.
WCL Support Worker Brief:
Provide professional, high quality support people within their own home and other environments in a way which maximised their choice and independence; allowing them to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions while supporting and living out our Values within your role.
You will be required to deliver a person centred support to meet the care needs, which included but are not limited to personal, practical, social and domestic support, which is agreed within their individual plan while exemplifying best practice at all times. Support should promote the individual’s health and well-being and support them to be active members within their living environment and their local community.
The work will involve developing professional working relationships with families, colleagues, from WCL and other agencies. You will be responsible for completing relevant documentation for the people being supported compliance with guidance, statutory regulation and WCL policies and procedures.
The Community Network Team support children, young people and older adults who have learning and/or physical disability and/or associated mental health needs and/or dementia, but wish to live their lives with the greatest self-sufficiency possible and to take their place as active citizens in the community.
Services may be delivered in the person’s own home, out and about in the community or in educational and work settings. They could be 24 hours a day support or less intense periods of activity based or short breaks work.
