Part-time and Full-time Young People’s Support Workers – great new opportunity
WCL are looking for colleagues to join a brand new person centred team for a very special 16 year old young man with autism, who is shortly moving into his own home in the Padgate area. You will be helping him to learn how to look after his own home and to enjoy an active social life alongside his attendance at a local College.
To fit round his needs we are offering part time and full time hours on competitive pay and benefits, and one colleague with appropriate experience will be offered a ‘Specialist’ role on an enhanced pay grade to help lead the team. You may have paid or unpaid experience of
working with younger or older people with a disability which would be useful, but most importantly you will want to make a difference in someone’s life. Full training is available, but we cannot teach you our values – you will already have those.
Can you keep a promise?
Can you make a difference?
The Community Network Team support children, young people and older adults who have learning and/or physical disability and/or associated mental health needs and/or dementia, but wish to live their lives with the greatest self-sufficiency possible and to take their place as active citizens in the community.
Services may be delivered in the person’s own home, out and about in the community or in educational and work settings. They could be 24 hours a day support or less intense periods of activity based or short breaks work.
