Bridget’s role as Head of Delivery is to support the service managers to deliver high quality, safe and personalised services to and deputise for the Chief Executive. Bridget has been involved in social care for the last 29 years. She started as a volunteer supporting people with learning disabilities and went on to manage day, residential and supported living services for people with a range of disabilities, older people and people with a diagnosed mental illness. One of her proudest achievements at this time was the redevelopment of 3 in house hostels and the resettlement of people from the long stay hospitals and enabling these two groups to move into their own homes in the community. Bridget has managed specialist social work and mental health teams and was directly involved in a national pilot which became the embryonic version of person centred approaches and direct payments, she remains deeply committed to enabling the people we work with to take control of their support and be the authors of their own destinies. In 2014 Bridget was employed by Warrington Borough Council to implement the Care Act, in addition she provided supported to range of other projects and initiatives including collaborative working with GP's and other partners and supporting the North West Syrian refugee relocation programme. Bridget has a good working knowledge of health and social care legislation and how to put it into practice and is committed to using this knowledge to enable the people we support to achieve the best possible outcomes.
